Dung for Dinner

“From Roman charioteers scarfing wild boar dung to astronauts guzzling their own pee to today’s kids spreading insect vomit on their toast, this humorous compendium is chock-full of history, science, and fascinatingly gross facts. Bug secretions coating your candy corn? Rodent poop in your popcorn? Physicians tasting their patients’ pee? It’s deliciously disgusting!”

Once Dung for Dinner was announced, I changed my dating profile to read,

“I recently signed on to illustrate a kid’s book about historical poop eating.”

One person messaged me to say that she wasn’t into me, at all, and she wanted me to know that this was why. Joke’s on her – everyone else (or, well, everyone who was willing to talk to someone with that in his profile) thought it was hilarious.

The book has nearly a hundred illustrations, all lovingly rendered in brown ink, but I think my favorite bit is the tiny illustrated poo-shaped page numbers.

But wait, there’s more!
