The History of Underwear With Professor Chicken

I drew enough chickens in college that for a short time I was known by some people as “The Chicken Guy,” and had pitched at least one book about chickens in the intervening years, and I’d also recently done the illustrations on a book called Dung For Dinner, so it sort of made sense when I got the email asking if I wanted to work on a book about underwear and chickens. I guess I have a type.

The magazine spread in this book was maybe the most fun I’ve ever had on an illustration. It combined some of my greatest loves: dumb animals, the history of visual culture, and underpants.
