By the time I started researching this book, I’d been playing guitar (or, well, playing with a guitar) for three years, and it turns out I’d been completely wrong about how it worked. It turns out that the string vibrates the big piece of wood on the front of the guitar (the piece with the hole in it) and that vibration echoes around inside the hollow bit.
